12-Year-Old Arrested for Driving a Car involved in Armed Robbery

A 12-year-old from Milwaukee was arrested on Thursday for driving an Explorer during an armed robbery that happened on Wednesday.

Milwaukee Police Officer was on patrol in the area of N. 25th Street and W. Locust Street on Thursday around 12:40 p.m.  

The driver is a 12 year old Milwaukee male who was arrested with four other male suspects ranging in ages from 13 to 16 years old.   

An officer spotted a black Ford Explorer that was taken in an armed robbery on Wednesday on the south side of Milwaukee.

Officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver refused and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. 

During the pursuit, the Ford Explorer struck a tree near 19th and Locust Street, and five suspects fled from the vehicle. 

The suspects were taken into custody after a foot pursuit.
