RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Police Department says an 11-year-old boy is dead after officials say his sibling accidentally shot him during the night of Fri. May 16. 

Officials say they responded to the scene near Howard and Prospect Street at around 10:33 p.m. and located the 11-year-old victim with a gunshot wound. 

The preliminary investigation indicates the victim's sibling accidentally shot him inside a residence. 

Racine police say a suspect has been identified and apprehended.

Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this incident.
