107th annual City of Milwaukee Tree Lighting kicks off 2020 holiday season 🎄

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The 107th annual City of Milwaukee Tree Lighting kicked off the 2020 holiday season Monday night, Nov. 23.

The tree is a 35-foot Colorado blue spruce harvested from the yard of the Gill family no the northwest side.

Department of Public Works staff decorated the tree with nearly 3,500 lights and more than 200 ornaments.

Because of the pandemic, the event didn't have the fanfare and crowds of years past but the tree is now lit near City Hall.
