10 year-old hit by bullet while in residence

Police are investigating a shooting of a 10 year-old that occurred early Sunday morning. 

The incident occurred at 12:15AM at the 2000 block of W. Lapham. A 10 year-old was hit by a stray bullet while in a residence. Authorities say individuals were shooting at each other outside and don't believe the boy was a target. 

Originally it was reported the boy was a 12 year-old.
