1 person dead in Pleasant Prairie fire

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) – One person is dead following a fire in Pleasant Prairie on Monday, September 28.
Pleasant Prairie Police say authorities were called to the area near Old Green Bay Road and Frontage Road around 4:24 p.m. for a report of a person trapped on the second floor.
On arrival, crews went into the home and rescued the person, however he was already deceased.
Two police officers were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation
