A young Milwaukee girl who was hit by a stray bullet while watching TV at home will be laid to rest today.
There was a public visitation yesterday for Za'Layia Jenkins at New Pitts Mortuary.
Today's funeral is at Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ in Milwaukee. We're told a horse-drawn carriage will take Jenkins' body to the church.
Mayor Tom Barrett, who's been visiting with the family, says the community needs to come together to stop the violence.
Police say two groups were having a shootout near 15th and Meinecke when one of the bullets went through the home and hit Jenkins on May 5th.
There's a $40,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
