MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A tribute is growing for a young girl killed in a shooting.
Za'Layia Jenkins was hit by a bullet fired from outside her home.
She died the day before her 10th birthday. On Friday, volunteers planted flowers at the legacy garden created in her name.
"It's like her room," said Ramona Boone, founder of Za'Layia's garden. "Each year she would grow, we're going to grow here in the garden and expand, like she would, for her 13th birthday and 16th birthday."
You can visit the garden. It's located near 15th and Meinecke.
