Mild and windy most of this week with another big storm system
This was the sixth year for the Wisconsin Sports Awards. It's an event that's provided great memories for a lot of sports stars, including Aaron Rodgers.
"Actually I met Sam Dekker who's a good friend of mine, at the sports awards, about 6-7 years ago now. So, it's fun to see the young kids," Aaron Rodgers said.
Young players and old friends all represented at Camp Randall Stadium at tonight's Wisconsin Sports Awards. Even the offensive linemen get a day in the sun.
"Usually offensive lineman don't get too much recognition, so to have this moment, it's cool, it's special, it's fun," said David Bakhtiari.
Today's blue carpet, a reminder of the number of great sports stories in Wisconsin over the past year.
"Whether it's pro level, college level, high school level, there are so many worthy people that you want to come out and celebrate," said Coach Steve Wojciechowski.
Wisconsin's best athletes celebrated, but inspirational stories shared as well, as Jabari Parker works his way back from a second surgery.
"You know, I've got something to prove to myself, and I've got a narrative unlike a lot of people, so regardless if I succeed or not, this is a good story to tell my kids and the people around me. I try to be a champion on and off the court," said Jabari Parker.
