CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The ribbon was cut Sunday, Nov. 2, on a new bench constructed at Warnimont Park in Cudahy, featuring a picture of Sade Robinson with the words “Still Sade rises spiritually saving lives.”

"She gave to so many, she loved so many," said Sheena Scarbrough, Sade's mother.

It was an emotional day as Scarbrough honored her daughter who was loved by so many in the community.

"Yesterday officially made 19 months since the last time I've seen my baby," said Scarbrough.

Robinson was killed last April and Scarbrough says she will always carry the pain of losing her 19-year-old daughter.

"Throughout the trial, throughout grief… we never really got a funeral for my baby," said Scarbrough.

A bench was constructed in Sade's memory to turn a place Scarbrough says is tainted with pain and darkness into a positive one, radiating the light Sade was to those around her.

"This is the location where my baby was dismembered and there's a lot of heavy negative energy here and it effected the community all throughout the trial," said Scarbrough. "We all had to endure and walk through together."

The bench is surrounded by three newly planted trees in Sade's honor, bringing new life to Warnimont Park.

"Sade you’re here with us in spirit, we love you so much," said Scarbrough.

Scarbrough says they will continue to keep Sade's memory alive, not just through memorials but through her foundation, Sade's Voice Foundation. The foundation helps with missing persons and victims of crime.

Maxwell Anderson, the man convicted of killing Sade Robinson was sentenced to life in prison for Sade's murder.
