World's tallest water coaster coming to Six Flags Great America in 2020

GURNEE, Ill. (CBS 58) -- A new, record-breaking water ride is coming to Six Flags Great America. 

Tsunami Surge will come to the park's Hurricane Harbor in 2020. At 86 feet high, Six Flags says the ride will be the tallest water coaster in the world. Riders will be blasted through twists and tunnels at more than 28 mph, with hairpin turns and drops throughout. 

It will be the waterpark's 25th attraction and will be located in the Riptide Bay area of Hurricane Harbor.
