Woman wounded in south side shooting Sunday morning

The Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning that has resulted in a woman being taken to a local hospital for treatment of her wounds.   According to the Police, just before 11 AM they received a report of a woman being shot.   She received what is described as non-life threatening wounds and was transported to a local hospital.   The shooting occurred on W Madison Street between S 12^th and S 14^th Streets.   The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
