Woman wounded in early morning shooting

The Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 1:55 AM Tuesday in the area of W Mitchell and S 38th Streets. An adult female received a non-life threatening gunshot would under circumstance that are still unclear at this time. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the wound. Information about the shooting is very limited at this time. The MPD is continuing its investigation into the incident.
