Woman Shot and Killed After Fight Between Two Groups

MILWAUKEE - A 43-year-old woman is dead after an early morning shooting.

It happened near 76th and Florist shortly after 2 a.m.

A Milwaukee Police officer arrived on scene to find an unresponsive female who had been shot. Officers and the Milwaukee Fire Department attempted life-saving measures but despite their efforts, the woman died on scene. 

Preliminary investigation reveals that two separate groups of people began to argue and fight. At some point, multiple gunshots were fired and the victim was struck.

The investigation remains ongoing and police continue to search for a suspect.
