Woman seriously hurt after high-speed crash in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A 43-year-old woman is seriously hurt after a high-speed crash early Saturday morning.

Authorities say it happened near W. Oklahoma Ave. and S. 9th St. around 12:20 a.m.

A 32-year-old man was driving a sedan at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. He suffered non-life threatening injuries. The woman who was hurt was a passenger in the car. She was taken to the hospital.

The case is being referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office.
