Woman Injured When Struck by Car in Early Morning

A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman is in the hospital  after being struck by a car while crossing a Milwaukee street early Tuesday morning.  According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the accident occurred around 1:40 AM when the woman  apparently ran into the street in the 2200 block of W Lincoln Avenue and was struck by a westbound 2006 Ford Focus.  A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman was driving the car and stayed at the scene of the accident.   She is cooperating with the MPD in their investigation of the incident.   The victim was taken to a local hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
