MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police are investigating a child neglect incident that happened on Saturday, March 4th.

Officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of S. 51st Street around 8:30 p.m.

A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman left medication unattended and a 10-month-old male child, related to her, ingested the medication.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The woman was arrested and the case is pending a charging decision by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office regarding potential charges of child neglect causing injury.
