Woman claims Dirty Girl Mud Run was inappropriate

MILWAUKEE -- A local woman says she ran Waukesha's Dirty Girl Mud Run and says it was degrading and uncomfortable.

Jennifer Smith says a volunteer was creepy and she was especially uncomfortable at the outdoor rinse station.

\"I looked and there were women hosing off in front of everybody and I looked and was like, what is this all about.\", said Smith.

Smith also felt one of the volunteers was creepy when he tossed mud at the runners. She says, \"It was in my face, my mouth, I couldn't see. It was horrible and then he said, 'You like that, want some more of that?'\"

Smith posted her comments on facebook and had some women agree with her about the privacy issues saying, \"The man at the bottom of the slide did the same thing to my friends, and they did not enjoy that either\" and another woman said, \"Very disappointed by the lack of privacy for the showers.\"

Still many others defended the race saying--\"We're grateful for the rinse off area to not be private\" going on the say it prevents women from taking full showers and keeps the lines moving.

Another woman said \"We did see the man at the bottom of the slide, but I kindly told him I had in contacts before going down and he only threw mud on my back, we have no complaints at all.\"

The Waukesha Dirty Girl Mud Run responded to Smith's complaints saying they'd investigate some of her concerns but, \"The volunteers who were throwing mud were applauded by many because they were having fun and volunteering their time, we're certain the volunteers were not trying to be malicious.\"

As for the showers organizers of the Waukesha Dirty Girl Mud Run said, \"No cameras were allowed near the rinse station,\" and \"We made many announcements about this being a rinse station. It is not a shower station.\"

We contacted the run organization, and are waiting for a call back.
