Woman Charged with Homicide after Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Eagle
A 28-year-old woman from North Prairie was charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle for fatal motorcycle crash in Eagle on Thursday.
Rebecca Wankowksi was, also, charged with third offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
Spencer Twining, 21-year-old from Janesville, died following a three-vehicle accident earlier this evening on Hwy 59 in the area of Road X.
According to witnesses, a Dodge Truck was westbound on Hwy 59, swerved into the eastbound lane of traffic and struck a motorcycle that was eastbound on Hwy 59. After this collision, the Dodge Truck collided with a third vehicle: a Chevrolet Aveo that was also eastbound on Hwy 59.
The operator of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old male from Janesville, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the Dodge Truck, a 28-year-old female from North Prairie, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Aveo, a 58-year-old male from Eagle, was uninjured.
Officers allegedly could smell an odor of intoxicants coming from her.
She allegedly said to police, “My life was finally getting back on track. I never should have left.”
