Woman airlifted with serious injuries after being run over by her own car

RUBICON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Dodge County woman is recovering from serious injuries after she was run over by her own car.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at a home on County Highway P. The 67-year-old woman was putting a child in a car seat in the rear driver's side of the car. The car was left in neutral and began rolling backwards.

The woman tried to stop the car but was pushed over and the car rolled over her causing serious injuries to her upper body.

The woman was taken by Flight For Life to Summit Aurora.

Authorities say neither drugs or alcohol are believed to be a factor.
