MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Racine woman accidentally paid $9.99 a gallon for gas at an Oak Creek gas station.
It happened last Friday at the BP Gas Station at the corner of Ryan Road and Howell Avenue.
The woman was charged over $60 after pumping six gallons of gas into her vehicle.
The problem was that the gas station isn't open yet. The woman went inside and realized her mistake.
She told Oak Creek Police she did not realize that the gas price sign wasn't on or that the station wasn't open. The woman said that when she realized the prices was $9.99 a gallon, she stopped filling her vehicle.
Officers told her to dispute the credit card charge with her bank.
