Witnesses Call Police After Spotting Man Breaking Into Van on North Farwell

A Milwaukee man suspected of breaking into Milwaukee’s East Side cars was arrested on Monday after witnesses spotted him rummaging through a van.

The suspect, a 32-year-old Milwaukee man, is believed to have committed at least nine similar crimes in the past week.

Police officers responded to the area of North Farwell Avenue and East Irving Place around 2:20 PM on Monday after a witness saw the suspect rummaging through a van.

Responding officers located the man in the 1600 block of E. Irving Place and took him into custody.

The suspect had just recently been released from prison, has a criminal record dating back to 2005, and has been arrested by MPD more than a dozen times in his lifetime on various charges.
