With Packer Eddie Lacy Out for 8 Weeks, Team Calls Up Don Jackson from Practice Squad

In the hours leading up to the rivalry game between the Packers and Bears, Green Bay called up Don Jackson from the practice squad.

It's the latest move to help the team with running back Eddie Lacy  off for eights weeks as required by the NFL for players placed on injured reserve.

Reports have also surfaced that Lacy needs ankle surgery.

Ian Rapaport saying the injury is quote "more than an ankle sprain," and that the Packers star will need surgery.

Lacy had already been ruled out of tonight's game.

The Packers signed a running back Knile Davis this week to help fill the void.

Oak Creek native and Packers Defensive End Marwin Evans hopes he gets some playing time.

He tells CBS 58 that playing against the Bears is the ultimate.

The worry over injuries did not dampen the enthusiasm of fans, some of whom started tailgating at Lambeau before the sun even came up.
