WisDOT plans to reopen Leo Frigo bridge by Jan. 17th

GREEN BAY -- Wisconsin Department of Transportation crews continue work on the Leo Frigo bridge in hopes of having it reopened in less than three months. DOT officials say they're planning on having the bridge reopened by January 17th.

Towers will be installed so that work can begin on repairing the corroded pilings that caused one of the piers to sing two feet in September.

The Wisconsin DOT is also testing the soil and water to find out what's causing the corrosion. The pier has not sunk any further since the bridge was shut down.
