MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It may only be September, but the City of Milwaukee has started a search for its official Christmas tree. 

The Department of Public Works is looking for a tree that will once again stand in Deer District, just outside Fiserv Forum. 

The ideal tree should be at least 30 feet tall, accessible by crane, with no overhead wires or other obstacles, and of course it must be in the city. 

If you'd like your tree considered, call 414-286-CITY by Friday, Sept. 25. 

All nominated trees will be evaluated on size, shape, uniformity, density and color. 

Milwaukee's Annual Holiday Lights Festival kicks off Nov. 19.
