MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin Department of Transportation spokesperson Sean Race joined us Tuesday, Aug. 25 with an update on construction projects affecting Milwaukee-area drivers.

He mentioned that crews poured the bridge deck for the temporary widening of westbound I-94 over 68th Street, while work near the 27th Street bridge continues on the east leg.

Race also discussed a planned 24-hour closure of southbound WIS 100 between Layton and I-43. The closure is scheduled to begin by 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 for paving work and reopen by 5 a.m. Friday.

Access to businesses and the Hales Corners Park & Ride will remain available.
