Wisconsin State Representative Introduces Legislation Prohibiting Racial Profiling by Police

State Representative Leon Young (D-Milwaukee) at the request of the NAACP has introduced legislation that prohibits racial profiling/discriminatory policing practices, with the intent to create a safer community for people of all backgrounds.

Rep. Young said, “As a former Milwaukee police officer, I can attest that the overwhelming majority of police officers perform their duties in a professional and unbiased manner.  Hence, it is important that the names and reputation of these officers should not be tarnished by the actions of other officers who elect to engage in discriminatory practices.”
