Wisconsin Man Dies After Driver Tries to Avoid Deer Carcass

A 28-year-old Wisconsin man died after the car he was in swerved to avoid a deer on I-90 / I-94 on Monday morning around 3:08 AM.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, the incident occurred in Columbia County.

Five others were injured in the crash.

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, a Nissan Quest was traveling west on I- 90/94.

The driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer carcass in the lane of traffic causing the vehicle to enter the left shoulder.

The vehicle began sliding and the driver over corrected back onto the roadway and into the right shoulder where the vehicle overturned.

One passenger was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

The vehicle came to rest in the right ditch.

The names are being withheld pending notification of family.
