Wisconsin Man Accused of Stabbing Teen in the Eye to Enter Plea Next Month

ADAMS, Wis. (WSAW)-- A judge has rule there is enough evidence against a man accused of stabbing a teenage girl in the eye for the case to move forward.

Kenneth Giles, 52, of Adams is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide, child abuse, aggravated battery, first degree reckless injury and disorderly conduct.

According to court documents, officers responded to a home on May Street around 11 p.m. on April 29 for a girl that had been stabbed. According to documents, the alleged victim had minimal bleeding, but still had the weapon, described as a buck knife in her eye.

Giles was interviewed by police and stated did not know why he would do such a thing. He told investigators he was “so drunk”, and believed he threw a beer bottle at the girl. According to court documents, Giles had a preliminary breath alcohol level of .2.

The girl was treated at a Madison hospital, but lost her eye following the incident.

Giles remains in custody in the Adams County Jail on $75,000 cash bond.

Giles is scheduled to enter a plea to the charges Nov. 29.
