Wisconsin Lottery releases Powerball sales surrounding winning New Berlin ticket
The winning ticket in Wednesday's $768 million Powerball ticket was sold March 27 at the Speedway on Beloit Road near Moorland Road in New Berlin.
Wisconsin Lottery officials say they had over $5 million in sales for the Powerball drawing. Sales in Wisconsin peaked from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with $380,481 worth of tickets sold in that hour alone equally $6,432 sales per minute.
The winner of the $768 million jackpot has not yet come forward. State law gives the winner 180 days to come forward and must be publicly identified.
The jackpot was the second-highest in Powerball history and the third highest in U.S. history.
