Wisconsin junior golfers to compete at Drive, Chip and Putt national finals in Augusta

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two Wisconsin junior golfers, 9-year-old Adalyn Lupton from Waunakee and 15-year-old Alex Kim from Elm Grove, are set to compete at the 2023 Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals on Sunday, April 2.

The event will take place at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia and will be broadcast live on The Golf Channel as part of Masters Week coverage. Lupton and Kim will represent Wisconsin among 80 junior golfers from across the United States.

Adalyn Lupton hails from Waunakee and trains at Pleasant View Golf Course in Middleton. Jeremy Cabalka of the PGA coaches her.

Alex Kim is based in Elm Grove and plays at Brown Deer Park Golf Course in Milwaukee. David Roesch of David Roesch Golf in Brookfield coaches him.

For others interested in getting involved in the competition, registration is now open for local qualifying at twelve Wisconsin locations.

The Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifying Sites in Wisconsin include Geneva National in Lake Geneva, Eau Claire Golf & Country Club, Whistling Straits in Kohler, Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac, The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove, Merrill Golf Course, Beloit Club, Edgewood Golf Course in Big Bend, Reedsburg Country Club, Irish Waters Golf Course in Freedom, The Legend at Merrill Hills in Waukesha and Yahara Hills Golf Course in Madison.
