Wisconsin Girl's Attorney Wants Her Tried as Juvenile for Stabbing Brother's Girlfriend

HUDSON, Wis. (AP) — Defense attorneys for a 14-year-old Wisconsin girl accused trying to kill her brother's girlfriend are fighting a decision to charge her as an adult.

Kali Jade Bookey is accused of cutting the throat of her 15-year-old victim in New Richmond last month. Authorities say Bookey told investigators she was jealous of her brother's relationship with the girl.

She is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
