MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Four Girl Scouts from Wisconsin traveled to New York City earlier in March to represent Girl Scouting at the United Nations’ 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women. The annual session focused on gender equality and the advancement of women worldwide.
The delegates, Sophia B. of Brookfield, Kailey P. of Muskego, Hannah L.-S. of Milwaukee and Gemma V. of Milwaukee, were among 16 Girl Scouts selected nationally. The group joined global leaders in panel discussions, advocacy efforts and networking opportunities.
The four Scouts joined us on Thursday, March 20 to discuss their experiences at the event.
