Wisconsin Girl Scouts design for Harley-Davidson
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- This year, Girl Scouts in southeast Wisconsin in grades 4-12 were invited by Harley-Davidson to design a gas tank to be displayed at their 120th Anniversary Celebration at the Harley-Davidson Museum.
Girls were given a template and got to work using their creativity to come up with designs to show off at the celebration.
They learned the design process at the “Girls in Manufacturing” event with Harley-Davidson.
Four winning designs came from Elizabeth, Clara, Helena, and Ava. The designs were painted by artist Kelly Maryanski, who is a former Girl Scout herself.
The tanks will be on display outside the Harley-Davidson Museum from July 13-16 and are free to view. After that, they will be on display at Discovery World.
