Wisconsin Girl Scout Alliance launching day of action to honor Girl Scouts, volunteer killed in Chippewa

SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- The Girl Scouts of Southeast Wisconsin have announced a collaboration with the Wisconsin Alliance to perform service projects during Days of Action in November.

Days of Action will honor the Girl Scouts and volunteer from Troop #3055 who lost their lives while performing community service on Saturday, November 3.

Days of Action encourages troops, individual Girl Scouts, supporters and the public to take action and perform a service project in their community, making the world a better place.

“Our hearts are broken for the girls and families of Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes. At Girl Scouts, there is nothing we take more seriously than the safety of our members. The girls and volunteers involved were all living the Girl Scout mission and making their community a better place while following proper safety protocols. We invite our communities to join us and participate in the Wisconsin Alliance Days of Action initiative to honor our fallen Girl Scout sisters who lost their lives too early. Together, we can honor their legacy in lasting and meaningful ways,” said Christy Brown, Chief Executive Officer.
