WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- A Wisconsin family is suing Target after their baby died from swallowing a water bead. 

The suit was filed in Hennepin County, Minnesota, home of Target's headquarters. 

The lawsuit claims Target failed to warn customers about the dangers of water beads. The family says they bought the toy in 2022, but later that year, Target and the toy's manufacturer pulled the product following an incident with another child. 

The family says they were never notified. 

They say their 10-month-old daughter swallowed a single water bead in 2023, killing her. 

A spokesperson for Target said they cannot comment on ongoing litigation.
