BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Hundreds of loyal Brewers fans woke up bright and early not just for World Series Championship merch, but to leave with the memory of a lifetime.

"It’s just the greatest experience ever," said Brewers fan, Austin Atkins.

Hundreds of fans lined up outside of DICK'S Sporting Goods in Brookfield for hours on Sunday Morning, all hoping to get a chance to meet World Series MVP William Contreras.

"I love it, I love it," said Contreras. "It’s been crazy to me, I mean I feel great to be the MVP and I really love this city."

It’s a special moment fans say was worth the wait.

"It’s the best thing ever," said Atkins.

“It means a lot. It means a lot to meet the world series MVP how many people can say that they did that," said Brewers fans, Ashlee Walk and Kaleigh Hurt.

For fan Cindy Elleseg, the Brewers World Series Championship win is personal.

"My dad played for the triple a Milwaukee Brewers in 1944 and this is his mitt," said Elleseg. “He would be in tears, very sentimental."

Fans captured the memory forever, leaving with a signature and an even bigger smile.

"It’s really beautiful to hear everybody and see their face especially the young guys, I mean I really feel glad to be here,” said Contreras.
