Wisconsin DNR welcomes submissions to children's Air, Air, Everywhere Poetry Contest

MADISON, Wis (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is inviting children in grades 3-5 to participate in the Air, Air, Everywhere Poetry Contest. 

The 11th annual DNR-sponsored contest corresponds with May being Clean Air Month. 

Each entry must be an original creation by the youthful lyricist, is required to be 200 words or less and must also describe air and/or the importance of clean air. 

Both original poems and riddles are welcomed to be sent in. According to the DNR, three poetic participants will have their work featured on the DNR website and on DNR social media channels. 

The deadline to submit entries is Fri., May 6, 2022.
