MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The state Department of Justice released new school safety guidelines Monday.
Attorney General Josh Kaul was joined by several leaders to announce the guidelines. The 89-page guide features best practices to help keep schools safe from harm. Among the suggestions: interviewing and monitoring school threats, training for students and teachers, as well as improving physical barriers to prevent attackers from entering schools.
It also provides new rules for assessing threats in each school district across the state.
