According to the Sheboygan Police Department, officers responded just before 5 p.m. to the intersection of South 25th Street and Broadway Avenue for a crash involving a sedan and an e-bike.
The teen, who was visiting from the Beloit area, was taken by Sheboygan Fire Department ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police said the sedan was driven by a 25-year-old Sheboygan man, who was not injured. He remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Based on witness statements and evidence collected at the scene, investigators determined the teen was traveling south on South 25th Street and failed to stop at the stop sign at Broadway Avenue before entering the path of the westbound sedan.
