Wisconsin Christmas Tree Gets the Boot from the White House Blue Room

The Wisconsin tree that was supposed to be featured in the White House Blue Room arrived in Washington D.C. Friday.

But as it turns out, the tree didn't quite make the cut for the main holiday display.

As is tradition, the First Lady watched as the Christmas tree was delivered by a horse drawn carriage as a four piece military band played "O Christmas Tree."

The tree contest award winners, Dave and Mary Vander Velden of Oconto, were there.

Later, it was determined the tree wasn't tall enough.

A replacement tree was selected from Pennsylvania.

The White House is a big place. So, the Wisconsin tree will be on display there, somewhere.
