Reviews of ’Pluribus’ and ’Jay Kelly’ in Racine Reels
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lisa Schiller of the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau joined us on Monday, Aug. 4 to talk about advice the BBB has for making purchases at summer fairs and festivals.
Schiller recommends reviewing a vendor’s profile at BBB.org before buying. These free Business Reviews list customer complaints and feedback. She also mentioned that shoppers should ask about refund or exchange policies and get them in writing when possible. It is also important to note the seller’s phone number and business address.
The BBB advises against high-pressure tactics and encourages shoppers to take time before deciding on large purchases.
Federal "cooling-off" rules do not apply to most festival purchases. That includes items under $130, arts and crafts, insurance, real estate and vehicles sold at temporary sites.
