MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Better Business Bureau has designated November as "Thank a Business" Month and is encouraging consumers to support companies through reviews and referrals.
Lisa Schiller, senior director of investigations and media relations for BBB, joined us on Monday, Nov. 3 to talk about ways people can show appreciation for businesses.
The BBB recommends leaving customer reviews on BBB.org or other sites to help businesses attract new customers. Referring family and friends to businesses, engaging with their social media content and making purchases are other ways to support local companies, according to Schiller.
People can also leave generous tips at restaurants and coffee shops or participate in special promotions and events.
