Today was the pick day of the weekend with sunshine and dry conditions. It's also our last day with a sunset in the 5pm hour until January 29th. Don't forget to turn your clocks back before you go to bed tonight!
Clouds will increase tonight with a few brief showers possible.
There will be a fair amount of dry time Sunday morning due to lingering dry air, but rain will increase in coverage throughout Sunday afternoon.
There will be a couple main waves of rain going into the new work week. Another push of steady rain moves through early Monday morning with a period of drier weather Monday afternoon.
As the low pressure system and cold front move closer Monday night into Tuesday, additional rain and storms are likely. Plan on a soggy Election Day, but the steady rain Tuesday morning should taper to hit or miss showers in the afternoon.
Southerly winds will increase Sunday and gust around 30 mph both Sunday and Monday. Strong winds in excess of 35 mph are expected Tuesday afternoon behind the cold front.
A solid 1-2" of rain is likely area-wide Sunday through Tuesday with localized totals of 2-3" in spots that experience a few thunderstorms.
It won't be a cold rain, however, as temps warm into the mid to upper 60s Monday and Tuesday. Temps drop back into the 50s for the second half of the week.
