Whitewater Unified School District employee accused of sexual assault with minor

WHITEWATER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Charges of sexual assault of a child are pending against a man who was an employee of Whitewater Unified School District (WUSD). 

According to the Whitewater Police Department, on July 22, officers responded to the intersection of E. Clay and S. Wisconsin Streets for a report of a suicidal man. Upon further investigation, officers identified the male as 34-year-old, Anthony P. Hansen, of Whitewater, and determined that Hansen had been in an ongoing sexual relationship with a minor.

It was also found that Hansen was an employee of the WUSD. 

An investigation was opened and police are working closely with WUSD as it continues. 

A charge of sexual assault of a child by a school staff person has been forwarded to the Walworth County District Attorney's Office. Additional charges may come.
