Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: No Tail
WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man could be charged after West Bend Police say his gun went off at work, hitting him in the leg.
Police said they were called to a business on Progress Drive just before 6:30 am. on Saturday, June 15.
Officers say the man's gun was in a holster, but the holster was not the proper kind for the gun he was carrying. When he hit the holster against a tool box, the gun went off and fell to the floor. The man was hit in his right leg.
Police said the man's co-worker was nearby, uninjured, and drove him to the hospital.
Police say the man does have a conceal-carry permit. Charges of recklessly endangering safety have been referred to the Washington County District Attorney.
