West Bend Police: 17-Year-Old Bicyclist Injured After Hit and Run

A 17-year-old bicyclist is expected to be okay after he was struck while riding his bicycle southbound on North 18th Avenue in West Bend. 

According to police, a 17-year-old bicyclist was attempting to cross West Washington Street in the crosswalk when a vehicle heading west on West Washington Street failed to yield and struck the bicyclist. The driver then took off without stopping.

The bicyclist sustained an injury to his leg.

An officer located the vehicle and driver shortly after the crash. An 18-year-old Saukville woman was arrested for Hit & Run to Pedestrian Causing Injury and also cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way to Pedestrian.

The bicyclist is expected to be okay.
