WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 41-year-old West Bend man was arrested after making a social media post saying his daughter carries a Glock 45 handgun to school each day.
According to West Bend Police, the post was in response to a lengthy social media exchange concerning a fight between two 15-year-old's which occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
The posting caused school officials to concern for the safety of the school district students and staff and the post was immediately reported to police.
The man who made the post was interviewed and said there was no truth to his post. He allegedly told police he was seeking a reaction from other readers. The man was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and released.
The two 15-year-old's involved in the fight referenced above were released to their parents and charges of Disorderly Conduct were referred.
The investigation remains ongoing.
