WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A West Allis police officer accused of using excessive force during an arrest earlier this year has been bound over for trial.

Anton Best faces a misconduct charge following a Jan. 30 incident in Brookfield, where he allegedly placed his knee on a suspect's neck and right shoulder with excessive force. During a court appearance, a judge ordered Best to have no contact with the victim or any West Allis police officers listed in the complaint.

Best remains on administrative suspension while the case proceeds through the court system and is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 9.
