WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Allis Police Department and the West Allis City Attorney's Office have closed 'Asian Massage', located at 1442 S. 92nd Street, after their investigation revealed that a prostitution operation was being run out of that location.
The investigation began in August of 2019 when detectives were informed that employees of the business were engaging in prostitution.
Detectives then served a search warrant in October of 2019 which resulted in three people being arrested and criminally charged.
"This investigation is part of a larger, ongoing effort to combat prostitution in the City. It will continue to be a priority for the City because prostitution creates nuisance activity for a neighborhood and frequently involves women being forced to live in terrible conditions and perform sexual acts against their will. Those who support this unlawful business by paying for these services should know they are supporting human trafficking," the West Allis Police Department said in a release.
If you or anyone you know is a victim of human trafficking, you can get help by calling your local law enforcement or the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888.
