WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The high school class of 2020 may have lost the end of their school year, but in many ways they are not forgotten.
Friday morning in West Allis, a group of teachers from both Central and Hale High School got together to paint a tribute to the graduating seniors on a message wall at Central High.
Usually students paint messages there, but since they can't go back on school property under current guidelines, the teachers picked up the slack, and their brushes.
"We've got some students who are like, 'hey Miss Dlouhy, can we at least have one day where we come back and have closure?' And it's really hard to say no, but that's the answer, and so we're just hoping that the kids know that we think they're the best," said West Allis Central High School teacher Carri Dlouhy.
The rival schools are coming together to make the end of senior year as memorable as they possibly can.
